In 1960, Alex opened his dream house built atop a chimney of rock to the public. Over the years, Alex expanded his vision beyond the House and collected and built on a massive scale. What began as a lofty retreat with an awe-inspiring view has become a spectacular attraction.

During the Regular Season (mid-March to mid-November), the full complex is open and is divided into 3 sections. On your self-guided tour, you will explore some of the world's most unique collections including the world's largest carousel, 200' sea creature, automated music machines and much more. We recommend 3 to 3.5 hours for the Ultimate Experience Admission which includes all 3 sections.

From mid-November to the end of December, The House on the Rock is transformed with all the splendor and joy of the Christmas Season. The Christmas Experience included sections 1 and 2 decorated with over 6,000 Santa ornaments and figurines and other festive decorations.
